ecarrent ("we," "us") operates ecarrent.shop as a free referral service that connects people looking to rent a car with third-party rental car companies ("partners") who can fulfill that booking. We do not own or operate a rental fleet ourselves, and this policy covers only what happens with information you give directly to ecarrent.
What we collect
When you call our number or submit the callback form on this site, we collect only what's needed to find you a car:
- Your name
- Your phone number, so we can call you back
- Pickup city and your pickup/return dates
- Preferred car type, if you give us one
- Basic call metadata (date and duration) if you call our number
What we don't collect
We never ask for, and you should never send us: a photo or scan of your driver's license or ID, payment card or bank details, your Social Security number, or a deposit of any kind. If anyone contacts you claiming to be from ecarrent and asks for these, it is not us — please hang up or stop responding and let us know.
How we use it
- To contact rental partners on your behalf and check real-time availability for your dates and city
- To call you back with the options we found
- To share your name, phone number, and requested dates/city with the specific partner you choose to book with, so they can complete your reservation
- To improve how quickly we can match requests to available partners
Who we share it with
We share your request details only with the rental partner(s) you're being matched to, and only so they can offer or confirm a booking with you. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with unrelated third parties, marketers, or data brokers.
How long we keep it
We keep request details for as long as needed to complete the referral and handle any follow-up questions about it, and delete records that are no longer needed for that purpose on a routine basis. You can ask us to delete your information sooner — see contact details below.

- You can ask what information we have on file for you
- You can ask us to correct or delete it
- You can ask us to stop calling or texting you back

Cookies and site data
This site itself doesn't use tracking cookies or analytics scripts beyond what's needed to load its fonts. Information you submit through the callback form is sent to our team to act on your request — it isn't used for advertising.
